The exterior is meticulously finished by hand to a rich, uniform black. Each piece includes a removable ink converter and a pre-installed German nib in the point grade of your choice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Starless starts as a solid rod before machining on a CNC lathe into four separate pieces: barrel, grip section, cap body, and cap finial. Machined components are taken through successive sanding and buffing grits by hand, building each part up to a uniform finish across the full exterior. Next, a clip is shaped by hand, tumbled to soften the edges, and finished to match.
